This Privacy Policy explains how DominicanLegalHub.com collects, uses, and protects information when you use this Site. We take your privacy seriously and do not sell your personal data to third parties.

DominicanLegalHub.com (“DLH”, “we”, “us”) is an independent legal information platform affiliated with Cifré Gil Law Firm, S.R.L. (CGLAW), a law firm registered in the Dominican Republic. Our registered address is Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

2. Information we collect
We collect two types of information: information you provide directly and information collected automatically through your use of the Site.

- To respond to contact form submissions and connect you with a Dominican attorney when requested

- To comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- With CGLAW: If you submit a contact form or request a lawyer consultation, your inquiry is shared with Cifré Gil Law Firm, S.R.L. to facilitate that connection. This is the primary purpose of the referral flow on this Site.
- With service providers: We use third-party services to operate the Site (see Section 5). These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements.
- As required by law: We may disclose information if required by a court order or applicable Dominican law.
5. Third-party services
This Site uses the following third-party services that may process data about your visit:
- Google Analytics 4 — Website traffic analysis. Data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy. IP anonymization is enabled. Google Privacy Policy →
- Pexels — Stock photography embedded on article pages. Images are served from Pexels servers.
- Calendly — Appointment scheduling for lawyer consultations. If you book a consultation, Calendly’s own privacy policy applies.
- WordPress / Hosting provider — The Site is built on WordPress and hosted on servers that process standard access log data.
6. Cookies
This Site uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies: Required for the Site to function correctly (session management, security). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies to understand how visitors interact with the Site. These are non-essential and can be refused.
You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Refusing analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the tools or access content on this Site.
7. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 2 years for follow-up and legal compliance purposes
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months in Google Analytics (standard GA4 retention setting)
- Server logs: retained for up to 90 days
8. Your rights under Dominican Republic law
Personal data protection in the Dominican Republic is governed by Ley No. 172-13 sobre Protección de los Datos Personales, enacted on December 13, 2013. Under this law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and obtain a copy of that data.
- Right of rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
- Right of cancellation: You may request deletion of your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to legal retention obligations.
- Right of opposition: You may object to the processing of your personal data for purposes beyond those strictly necessary to provide the services you requested.

9. Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. The Site uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s privacy
This Site is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
